The emerging global leader in encapsulation solutions. Umang Global Group started its journey as Umang Pharmatech, a small, specialized player in the pharmaceutical encapsulation and machinery sectors.
Umang Pharmatech came into existence in the year 1982, founded by the Late Rajkumar Budhraja. What began as a humble venture with a simple gum tape dispenser has evolved into a respected name in the pharmaceutical encapsulation industry. Umang Global Group Pvt. Ltd. is not just a name change in the encapsulation sector, but it reflects our change in strategy and our overall vision of leadership through innovation, personalization, and international collaboration in multiple fields such as pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, personal care, encapsulated functional food, and engineering fields. What was earlier referred to as Umang PharmaTech does not exist. Instead, we function as "Umang Global Group Pvt. Ltd."
Going back in history, Umang Pharmatech expanded its business into pharmaceutical equipment by developing spheronizers and die roller extruders during the period of 1988 to 1993. During the second phase, dating from 1994 to 1999, Mr. Rajkumar Budhraja broadened their range to solid drug layering and introduced the first extruder by Umang Pharmatech. Between the years 2000 and 2005, the path of innovation continued with the introduction of the basket extruder and two extruders along with a combined spheronization and extrusion machine.
It was the time when Mr. Umang Budhraja, the son of Mr. Rajkumar Budhraja, embarked on his journey along with his father. Under the guidance of Mr. Umang Budhraja, from 2006 to 2011, the company entered a new growth stage by launching contract manufacturing for menthol beads and developing products in personal care, nutraceuticals, functional food, pharmaceuticals, and engineering. Later, during the period from 2012 to 2017, oral film strip packing machines were included to establish new and creative strip-cutting possibilities, including various shapes (heart shape, star shape, and more).
Umang Encapsulation Solution and Umang Particle Science showed an emerging response during the years 2018 to 2022. Umang Global Group also integrated the spray drying technology.
Umang Global Group specializes in the encapsulation technology of ingredients, leading our way in innovative encapsulation solutions for various industries such as personal care, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, functional foods, and engineering sectors. Umang Global established three state-of-the-art manufacturing plants around Mumbai to meet the expanding customer demands. Backed by a dedicated research and development team, we stay at the forefront of the upcoming and emerging encapsulation technologies. We make sure that smooth and effective delivery across the globe is achieved with our strong logistics and supply chain network, making it easier and trustworthy for our customers. We are passionate about developing innovative encapsulation solutions that meet the requirements of the customers and providing environmentally friendly personal care, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical products.
